What is the concept of natural water? Rainwater, groundwater, river water, glacial water, seawater, lake water, fog, and so on are all naturally occurring forms of water. Strictly speaking, impurities in water is a very broad term; anything present in water other than water itself can be considered an impurity. This is especially true for water found in nature. If even trace amounts of various components are taken into account, then essentially all elements from the periodic table can be present, as well as some organic compounds based on carbon.
