The sulfur content in the processed process gas is relatively high; what desulfurizing agent is generally used for its removal? I wonder how effective activated carbon desulfurizers are? Does anyone have any literature on activated carbon desulfurization that I could refer to? Thank you!
Transformed desulfurization products, ZNO, FEO, etc. .
In modern coal chemical processes, wet desulfurization is generally used after the shift reaction, with low-temperature methanol washing being the most common method. The desulfurizing agent mentioned by the poster should fall under the category of advanced desulfurization, with agents such as zinc oxide being commonly used. For typical ammonia and methanol production projects, low-temperature methanol washing is sufficient to meet the requirements, eliminating the need for advanced desulfurization. The original poster could describe the problem more clearly, such as the source of the feed gas and the downstream products, so that a better answer can be provided.
Thank you for your suggestion. This is a hydrogen production project using atmospheric-pressure fixed-bed gasification, and desulfurization is required after the conversion process; activated carbon desulfurizer is planned to be used for precise desulfurization. At present, it is not known which brand of activated carbon desulfurizer is the best in China
We use zinc oxide detoxification tanks. . .
Well, let’s take a look at the sulfur content after the treatment. After the treatment, the H2S level is 100 mg/m3. Through the desulfurization process using liquid tannin, the sulfur content is reduced to below 10 mg/m3. Organic sulfur is then removed through hydrolysis using normal temperature water, and two stages of zinc oxide desulfurization are applied, resulting in an outlet sulfur content of below 0.1 ppm.
Your manufacturing process is similar to ours; after making the necessary changes and using glue for desulfurization, we plan to use activated carbon for further desulfurization, aiming to reduce the sulfur content to below 1 mg. May I ask which company manufactures the zinc oxide desulfurizer used by your factory? How much per ton?
What is the price of zinc oxide per ton for you?
I haven’t followed this yet; I’ll ask you about it later
Pre-desulfurized tannin, highly desulfurized NHD – that is polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether
I haven’t paid attention to how much Wuhan Collin costs. :$
