Recently, I’ve been encountering this issue frequently: the measurement values from the ABB chromatograph remain unstable and keep dropping. After investigating, it turned out that the sampling valve inside the column chamber was leaking due to a damaged seal, which in turn caused abnormal sampling. Does anyone know what caused the damage? The sample gas is quite clean.
It is normal for a sealing component to age, become fatigued, or even get damaged over time. The injection valve is a component that operates frequently, and wear over time as a result of long-term use is normal. Also, ABB’s ones are likely slide valves, so wear should be more noticeable than with rotary valves. Just replace it with a new part.
There’s no need to replace the valve; just replace the gasket. Additionally, ABB has special lubricant, so remember to lubricate it regularly
After being used for too long, the gasket has aged and become damaged! Replace the gasket! !
