I’m sorry, but please don’t get upset – how were you trained? Actually, I understand too – it’s because the working time and practical experience are too short.
Is it worth it to invest in instrumentation for process training?
There is no such thing as whether it’s worth it or not. Knowledge knows no bounds.
I think the following points will be sufficient: 1. What is instrument control? What does instrument control do? II. What are the instrumentation and control devices, what do they look like, where are they used, and how are they used? III. Where and how do the process engineering and instrumentation and control specialties cooperate?
I. Instrument control refers to the use of instruments for monitoring various dynamic parameters during the industrial production process; it functions like human eyes
In my opinion, training process engineers on instruments mainly involves teaching them how to use the instruments correctly, the precautions to take during use, as well as some basic maintenance and troubleshooting techniques; generally, training can be carried out based on the instrument’s user manual.
Process technicians do not need to have a deep understanding of the principles behind the instruments; they only need to know what causes failures and how to resolve them. Relevant case studies can be used for training purposes
I think it’s mainly related to the handover with the instrumentation and control team; that’s quite important
