Regarding the industrial application record of FCC light gasoline etherification units, the main domestic application seen to date is that PetroChina has installed several such units, all of which utilize CDTECH’s catalytic distillation technology; Secondly, Sinopec used the technology from Lanzhou Petrochemical; so who else is aware of which gasoline etherification units, and whose technology is employed in those units? Comments are welcome; those who provide new information will receive a reward in the form of a rating. CNPC gets started: Nanchong Refinery’s 80,000 tons/year light gasoline etherification project using CDTECH technology ; Golmud Refinery CDTECH ; Urumqi Petrochemical 80,000 tons/year light gasoline etherification CDTECH ;
Several etherification plants owned by CNPC include Ningxia Petrochemical, North China Petrochemical, Jilin Petrochemical, Xianyang Petrochemical (in partnership with Changqing Petrochemical), and Guangxi Petrochemical. These plants utilize technology provided by Hebei Kairui Chemical, and now they are being promoted in collaboration with Lanhua; the same technology is used there. The production capacity of these plants is 300,000 tons per year and 400,000 tons per year respectively. There is also an etherification unit with a capacity of 30 wt/a at Hohhot Petrochemical, which seems to use CDTECH technology; however, it does not have a catalytic distillation column.
