May I ask how the gas-liquid separation tanks for cold high fractions and cold low fractions are designed after oil hydrogenation? If it is designed according to the standards for vertical screen gas-liquid separators, the cold high-pressure vapor-liquid separation tank should involve three-phase separation of gas, liquid, and liquid; then how should the liquid phase residence time be determined? Confused, seeking advice from experts
Generally, when the liquid level remains constant and the extraction rate stays the same, an increase in the tank’s volume results in a longer residence time, while a decrease in volume leads to a shorter residence time.
Calculate the diameter based on the critical gas velocity in the gas phase, while also taking into account the residence time in the liquid phase, and select the maximum value. Determine the height after deciding on the diameter.
May I ask, is it to calculate the diameter for vapor-liquid separation and the diameter for liquid-liquid separation separately, take the larger of the two values, then use the residence time to determine the height of the liquid phase and use vapor-liquid mesh separation to determine the height of the gas phase? Is that the approach? There are also some questions regarding the internal components; could you please contact me on QQ for more details? My QQ number is 290274810
