For pipes containing corrosive media, assuming that the drain is located on a steel structural frame, in order to prevent corrosion of the steel structure, it is necessary to direct the drain into a trench or similar structure. However, the problem is that if no sight glass is installed behind the drain valve, how can one determine whether the drain valve is fully closed? How is it generally achieved to introduce the drain from pipelines carrying corrosive media into the gutter? It should be a desirable method. However, if the frame is quite tall, it’s necessary to check from the end of the drain; there are still slight issues, and it requires two people working together on site or one person having to go up and down to inspect it. Thank you for your suggestion.

I don’t understand; I’m just guessing: after the guide pipe, it can be disconnected, and then a reducing fitting can be installed at the pipe connection downstream to lead in the smaller tube of the guide pipe. This way, it’s possible to visually check whether the guide pipe valve is properly closed. But it must be protected to prevent injuries to people and the entry of debris.

For corrosive media, a double valve arrangement is generally used, with an inspection valve installed in between.
