To test the performance of the air defense warning systems in Shenzhen and to enhance the public’s awareness of national defense and air defense, the city held an air defense warning drill on September 7th. It is reported that on September 7, synchronized test alarms were conducted across all areas of the city equipped with air-raid sirens. The duration of the alarm is from 11:00 to 15:00 on September 7, 2015, Beijing time. During this period, three types of alarm signals are emitted in sequence: the pre-attack air defense alarm (36 seconds of sound followed by 24 seconds of silence, repeated 3 times per cycle), the air attack alarm (6 seconds of sound followed by 6 seconds of silence, repeated 15 times per cycle), and the all-clear alarm (3 minutes of continuous sound). During the air raid alarm, production and daily life activities throughout the city, as well as social events, proceed as usual. What’s going on here? Weren’t it always 9.18 before? Sea friends, when did your cities conduct tests of their air-raid sirens?
We sound the alarm on the anniversary of the May 30th Massacre every year, but it seems to be only in the urban area; anyway, I have never heard it.

It seems it has nothing to do with us. I only remember attending junior high school in a small town; when the air raid alarms were tested, everyone felt worried, as it was the first time they heard them. I got used to it later on.

I only remember how cheap things were back then~ When three people went out for dinner, it cost less than 15 yuan; there were 4 dishes, enough food to satisfy everyone, and one draft beer per person.
