What certificates does an instrument technician need to obtain?
1. Intermediate Certificate in Chemical Instrumentation Maintenance 2. Advanced Certificate in Chemical Instrumentation Maintenance (this can only be obtained after having the intermediate certificate) 3. Instrument Technician 4. Senior Instrument Technician 5. Assistant Instrument Engineer (1 year of work experience required for those with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years for those with an associate’s degree) 6. Instrument Engineer 7. Senior Instrument Engineer. In fact, electrical engineering and instrumentation are related fields; the scope of instrumentation is quite narrow. It would be advantageous to be able to take exams in electrical engineering as well~
There is also a Certified Automation Systems Engineer (ASE) title, but it’s not very useful these days; it merely involves simple registration, and employers don’t place much importance on it
Well,,, one could try taking the basic courses for registration,,, and then take the specialized courses depending on years of work experience
