Should the vent hole of an internal floating roof tank be left open or sealed? Does it affect security? Are there specific regulations?
In accordance with the requirements of the GB50341 design code, circumferential ventilation holes should be provided on the internal floating roof
Internal floating roofs generally use vent holes in the tank wall, but they can also be installed on the top of the tank. It needs to be retained normally. However, environmental standards have become stricter in recent years. So all the ventilation holes have been replaced with breather valves.
Vapor-liquid equilibrium tanks must retain vent holes, while nitrogen-sealed tanks should have their vent holes sealed.
