Construction of the air separation unit project for Henkel at Nanjing Praxair began. According to Sinochem News, the installation work for the air separation unit intended to support Henkel’s operations at Nanjing Praxair Industrial Gases Co., Ltd. was launched recently, with China National Chemical Engineering Corporation Fourth Construction Co., Ltd. being the contractor for this project. The project is located in the Yudai area of the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park, with a production capacity of 900 tons of oxygen per day, intended primarily to supply industrial gases to Nanjing Jinling Huntsman New Materials Co., Ltd. (Huntsman). Huntsman will use these gases to build world-class propylene oxide (PO) and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) plants in Nanjing. Sihua Jian Company is responsible for the installation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems for this project, with completion scheduled for December 31, 2016. Given the tight project timeline and high safety requirements, the company organized everything carefully and made sound arrangements, providing thorough instructions to the construction workers to ensure that the work is completed safely, to a high standard, and on schedule.
The electromechanical and instrumentation systems will be completed by the end of this year, with the overall commissioning process likely to take place in the first half of 2017~~provided nothing goes wrong~~
