Can a plate and frame filter press be modified?

The company currently has three plate and frame filter presses with cross-flow filtration; they are planned to be converted to end-flow configuration. I’m not sure if this conversion is possible, so I would appreciate any suggestions from everyone.

How to do it? Is it to open the holes at the bottom of the plate frame, simultaneously close or block the original outlet valve, and also make holes in the fixing plate to install the filtrate outlet?

Block the open flow holes, add a drainage hole to the head and tail plates as needed, and drill vertical holes at the locations of the original drainage openings on the plate frames. The key is to determine whether it’s feasible to process the head and tail plates; it’s also possible to drill holes only on the filter plates and frames, leaving an open flow hole for easier drainage. Note that the filter fabric should be removed from the areas where drainage holes are created
It can be modified; it’s not complicated. Hoses can be used to gather the water flowing from various outlets into a single pipe for collection.
