Generally, the catalyst is pre-saturated before leaving the factory. When using it, in accordance with the process requirements and to achieve the desired conversion rate, the inlet temperature should be as low as possible – just high enough to reach the catalyst’s ignition temperature. The main reaction still takes place at high temperatures. Different models of catalysts have varying ignition temperatures; it is necessary to match them as appropriately as possible and to operate them carefully in order to extend their service life. Catalysts from lower temperature areas can be installed in higher temperature areas, but catalysts from higher temperature areas perform poorly at lower temperatures. There is little contact with cesium catalysts, so no recommendations are available
