Can the measurement range of an integrated ultrasonic level gauge be adjusted within the device itself? I originally purchased it with a 8-meter range, and now I want to set it to 10 meters – is that possible?
It’s possible. You need to check the instructions; if you can’t find them, ask the manufacturer
I read the instructions; unfortunately, there’s no way to adjust the range. I also asked the manufacturer, and they said it’s not possible to do so, but I think it should be adjustable
If it’s intelligent, it should be adjustable.
Generally, it’s not possible; increasing the range results in insufficient power and unstable measurements. It varies depending on the manufacturer; if a manufacturer does not have a model with an 8-meter range, the one provided will actually have a 10-meter range, and the parameters can be adjusted internally to make it functional
Can’t set the range for an ultrasonic level gauge? ? That can’t be true!
Each instrument has a measurement range, an inherent range of the hardware itself, within which values can be changed arbitrarily. Your ultrasonic device should work too; changing it from 8 meters to 10 meters isn’t a big change, so it’s unlikely that it can’t be adjusted. Do the manufacturers offer one type for 0-8 meters and another type for 8-X meters? That’s impossible
That’s right; an ultrasonic level gauge should have a certain measurement range. The key factor is whether the power generated by the ultrasonic probe is sufficient, as otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy, or even result in no indication at all
