Location for venting and draining the equipment

I have a question: is there a significant difference between connecting the equipment’s vent and drain lines to the equipment itself and connecting them to the gas-liquid phase outlet lines? What is the impact during operations such as startup/shutdown, purging, and airtightness testing?
There isn’t much difference here. Top venting can be led out in front of the gas phase outlet valve. When the bottom outlet is not at the very bottom of the equipment, a separate opening at the bottom of the equipment must be provided for venting.
