In the instrument control flow diagram, superficially, HCV refers to a manual control valve, while HV refers to a manual valve. What is the fundamental difference between the two? ? ?
HCV likely refers to valves that can be manually controlled from a control room, while HV is probably the type of valve where a \"steering wheel\" is used on-site.
Can it be understood this way? ? Does HCV refer specifically to the instrument circuit number, while HV refers to the valve in that circuit? ?
Some sources also state that CV refers to a self-acting control valve; so what exactly is the difference between the two? ? ? I seek advice from those who are more knowledgeable
I haven’t seen any use for HCV. V refers to the valve itself; HV is sufficient. The valves corresponding to other control loops such as PIC, TIC, LIC, and FIC are PV, TV, LV, and FV respectively.
The ‘C’ suffix generally indicates control and adjustment, while HV usually has two states: either on or off.
The HV I used before was a remote-controlled valve, pneumatic. It is to manually control the opening and closing of on-site valves from the control room.
