There is a square shield below the ABB positioner; there is a hole inside it. What is that for? Is there also a silicone pad inside? When should I vent from this hole? My locator is double-acting
Without seeing the actual item, it’s impossible to be sure. The hole under the baffle is the nozzle; the distance between the nozzle and the baffle determines the back pressure of the amplifier. The greater the distance between the nozzle and the baffle, the lower the back pressure of the amplifier, and thus the smaller the output of the amplifier.
Is it a nozzle-blade mechanism? It is a basic component of pneumatic instruments.
