I would like to ask fellow sailors: what is the pressure resistance in MPa for φ140*8mm seamless steel pipes?
What about the material? Is it okay to just give the dimensions?

In addition to the material and temperature mentioned by those upstairs, factors such as corrosion allowance also need to be considered. Generally, the wall thickness of a pipe is rarely used directly to represent its pressure resistance; it is better to verify whether the wall thickness is sufficient based on process parameters.
For carbon steel seamless pipes, the pressure ranges from 6.4 Mpa to 10.0 Mpa

Material strength = Internal pressure * Mean diameter / (2 * Thickness). Temperature is taken into account when determining material strength, while a corrosion margin is considered for thickness

The wall thickness of a 140*8 steel pipe corresponds to the Sch80 grade in the pipe size series, but this Sch80 grade is not equivalent to 8.0 Mpa. It is the value obtained by multiplying the ratio of the design pressure of the pipe to the allowable stress of the material at the design temperature by 1000, and then rounding it off. That is: Sch = P/t × 1000, which can be used to calculate it inversely.
