What type of valves are suitable for circulating cooling water and chilled brine, respectively? We’re using ball valves now, and there’s always a problem with them not shutting off properly.
Additional note: The reaction vessel is equipped with both cooling water and chilled brine. Recently, it has happened frequently that the cooling water ends up in the chilled brine pipeline, or vice versa. The cause identified is that the workers failed to close the valves properly; ball valves were used.
The ball valve also has good sealing performance; why not try using a diaphragm valve instead?

Ball valves are generally used, as well as gate valves. But if you say it doesn’t close tightly, it’s probably a problem with the operation or with the quality of the valve itself; it has little to do with what type of valve is chosen

As already mentioned upstairs, it’s basically either a problem with the operation or an issue with the quality of the valve itself. The ball valve itself has good sealing properties.
The poster mentioned this issue a few days ago; it’s mainly a problem with the workers’ operation – either they make mistakes or fail to shut things properly. The ball valve seems to be being wronged; P

In our facility, full-gasketed butterfly valves are generally used for water systems, while full-fluorocarbon-lined butterfly valves are used for brine systems; the sealing performance is quite good~~:lol
