Seeking advice on the sources of acidic water in refineries

I would like to know the process by which acidic water is generated in refineries – how does acidic water arise in units such as catalytic units, coking units, hydrogenation units, and reforming units?
The problem is quite serious; the water injected into the air coolers for hydrogenation, as well as the stripping steam used in the stripping tower, can all result in acidic water
Could you explain it in more detail? I work in the extraction of sulfur using acidic water, and I’m quite curious about the sources of this acidic water
Since the raw materials contain sulfur, the sulfur content in these materials changes during the reaction process; some of it ends up in the product. Steam is used during the operation, and when this steam condenses into water, some of the sulfides remain in the water, resulting in acidic water
