Hydrorefining is primarily a refining process aimed at removing sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen, as well as saturating olefins; it has very little effect on density, and its outcomes mainly depend on the upstream raw materials.
The specific gravity of hydrogenated naphtha mainly depends on the composition of the raw materials. The ratio of raw materials can be adjusted. If one were to further fractionate and systematically adjust the specific gravity of naphtha, the initial boiling point of diesel would likely be very low.

If there are cracking catalysts inside the reactor, it is possible to try increasing the temperature to enhance the cracking reaction, but the effects of this approach are also very limited. The main responsibility lies with the upstream units
Hydroprocessed diesel has a high density; in fact, it’s necessary to check whether there is a leak in the heat exchanger or if the raw materials have mixed together. The hydrogenation process itself does not have a significant impact on density! It mainly depends on the fractionation in the atmospheric and vacuum distillation units; moreover, too high a density is also detrimental to the catalysts!
The catalyst in the refining unit has limited cracking efficiency; the reaction pressure is low, which results in limited effects on reducing the density of diesel. Within the scope of this unit, adjustments are mainly limited to methods such as lowering the flash point of diesel and increasing the partial pressure of hydrogen in the reaction
