Our company plans to install a chlorate decomposition unit. The chlorine gas generated as a result of this decomposition is sent back to the main chlorine gas pipeline, while the resulting brackish water, if sent to the anode liquid discharge tank, will contain high levels of residual chlorine. Would it be acceptable to send it to the brackish water circulation tank or directly to the dechlorination tower?
Can it be sent to the brackish water circulation tank or directly to the dechlorination tower? ------It’s possible, but it’s better to go straight to the dechlorination tower, as everything eventually ends up there. After going to the brine tank, the liquid still needs to be pumped to the dechlorination tower, which increases the load on the pumps and affects the stability of the liquid level in the brine tank. For an electrolysis system, stability is of utmost importance; moreover, the level of liquid in the brine tank is one of the conditions that can trigger an automatic shutdown.
It’s fine to go from the chlorine tank to the dechlorination tower.

The brackish water coming out of the decomposition tank is sent directly to the dechlorination tower, which reduces the amount of acid required in that tower
It depends on what the manufacturing process is. Returning it to the chlorine water tank generally reduces the chlorine content in the chlorine water (as temperature rises and pH decreases), lowers the load on the dechlorination tower, and improves the dechlorination efficiency.
Our design is for the overflow to return to the chlorine tank, and then to be pumped by a chlorine pump into the pipeline leading from the brackish water to the dechlorination tower, where dechlorination takes place together.
It is best to go to the brackish water circulation tank; secondly, to the anode solution discharge tank or to the dechlorination tower. Going to the brine circulation tank significantly reduces the dechlorination pressure for companies that have difficulty controlling the brine level. Going to the anode solution discharge tank can appropriately reduce the dechlorination pressure. Going to the dechlorination tower does not reduce the dechlorination pressure
The brackish water coming out of the decomposition tank is in an overflow state, with a gas phase pressure of 24 kPa. The pressure in the pipeline leading to the dechlorination tower is much higher than the overflow pressure of the decomposition tank; this statement does not hold true if no pump is used for transportation.
