In saltwater, what is brine? What is brine? What are the main differences?
Saltwater that has not been purified, or whose impurities do not meet the required standards, is generally referred to as crude saltwater； Brine that meets the process specifications after impurity removal is called refined brine. Take brine as an example: if impurities such as calcium, magnesium, ammonia, sulfate ions, pH value, and organic substances are not removed or are not removed to the levels required by the process specifications, it is called crude brine; whereas if those specifications are met, it is called refined brine. It can be roughly divided in this way: the brine before the outlet of the Kay membrane filter is called coarse brine, while the brine that comes out of the Kay membrane filter is called refined brine.
