The steel structural components of a crane must meet the corresponding design parameters in order to ensure optimal coordination among the various mechanisms of the crane. However, there are always certain situations that can cause it to deform, thereby preventing the crane from functioning properly. The reasons for the deformation of steel structural components in cranes can be categorized into several aspects: 1. Physical reasons: The material composition of the steel structural components themselves makes them susceptible to deformation due to factors such as high temperatures, thermal radiation, impacts, and gravity. 2. Chemical reasons: If chemical phenomena such as rusting or corrosion occur in the steel components of a crane, deformation may also take place. 3. The material itself: Most of the steel components in cranes are subjected to various types of stress as well as the effects of other substances they may come into contact with. If the physical properties such as tensile strength, along with the chemical properties, of these materials do not meet the required standards, deformation is inevitable. Furthermore, in the welding process of the steel structural components of cranes, poor welding quality resulting from workers’ insufficient skills is also often one of the causes of deformation.
