Minimum flow rate of the converter

Has anyone heard of the concept of the minimum flow rate for converter furnaces? It is used to prevent uneven distribution of the medium inside the furnace tubes, which could lead to flow imbalances. How is the minimum flow rate calculated then?

The minimum flow rate specified by general design institutes is not less than 30% of the design value.
Is the minimum steam volume also set at 30%?
For converter furnaces, when the plant load is below 50%, in order to ensure normal operation, the steam supply and air supply amounts should be at least 50% of the operational levels
The minimum flow rate for the converter is just a conceptual value; there’s no need to be too strict about it. As long as the furnace temperature doesn’t rise too high and the tubes don’t suffer damage, then everything will be fine
