I can only use AutoCAD for modeling at the moment, but I don’t know how to draw elbows and similar components. Do you have any ready-made model photos that I could use as a reference? Thank you!
What do you mean, you can’t draw? Find the pipe fitting standards – a 1:1 scale will do! 1. Draw two circles representing the inner and outer diameters of the elbow, then rotate the coordinate system by 90 degrees to draw a 90-degree arc with a radius equal to that of the elbow (this can be done using circle cutting), and then perform draft removal ； 2. Create two rings based on the bending radius of the elbow; the radius of each ring should correspond to the inner and outer radii of the elbow respectively. Then, remove the inner ring from the outer ring, and cut away the hollow arc, leaving a 90-degree angle.
I have used Cadworx and Plant 3D
There are too many options for 3D modeling; CAD is the basic one. For more advanced tools like PDMS and PDS, it depends on what suits you best. It’s better to make good use of CAD after all.
