For the daily maintenance of crane wire ropes, it is required that at the end of each shift, careful inspection be carried out on those areas that are difficult to see or to access frequently. Six points must be observed in the use and inspection of crane steel ropes. 1. Purchase products that meet the inspection standards, and check whether the performance and specifications of the crane satisfy the requirements of the design standards. 2. Before use, ensure the reliability of the safety protection devices; if this cannot be guaranteed, perform stress calculations. 3. When in use, prevent the steel wire rope from crossing and knotting, as well as from wearing or bending; it is prohibited to use scrapped steel wire ropes. 4. Steel cables should be avoided from being dragged across the ground as much as possible, especially on surfaces with many debris and sand, to prevent wear during dragging, which could lead to corrosion and a decline in performance. 5. Keep the surface of the steel wire rope clean and lubricated. 6. When in use, avoid reverse bending of the steel wire rope.
