I don’t quite understand your reply. Assuming the original dew point was 280 degrees Celsius, if the moisture content in the flue gas increases, the dew point temperature might drop to 260 degrees Celsius. Is that a higher or lower value?
An increase in temperature means that condensation acid will form at temperatures above 280°C; therefore, when there is more moisture and acid mist, the temperature of the flue gas entering the tower needs to be increased, otherwise severe corrosion will occur. However, raising the flue gas temperature may result in a poorer absorption efficiency! !
Assuming the original dew point was 280 degrees Celsius, if the moisture content in the flue gas increases, the dew point temperature could become 300 degrees Celsius, definitely not 260°C. You need to increase the temperature of your smoke gases; otherwise, corrosion is likely to occur.
