I have an enamel-lined tank that I am currently using; it has a mixing mechanism inside. I have noticed that the upper part of the mixing shaft in this tank is losing enamel. The area where the enamel is losing is at the top of the shaft – an area that, under normal operating conditions, does not come into contact with the liquid material. The size of the areas where the enamel is missing is approximately 10 mm in diameter. However, due to the high levels of steam and salts present in the tank, it is necessary to carry out repairs. To fix this completely, it would be required to remove the mixing shaft and replace it with a new one. I am considering using a repair compound to fix the shaft and carrying out regular repairs, but the effect of the repair compounds I’ve tried so far has not been good. Therefore, I would appreciate it if anyone who is familiar with or has used effective repair compounds could recommend one to me. Thank you.

Enameled repair agents – using this term is far too informal and imprecise; the so-called repair agents produced by many manufacturers can only withstand static conditions, and under dynamic stirring their lifespan is only a few months. The one I’m using now is from Jiangli; I’m not sure how it compares to the previous ones.
