On July 15, 2015, it was learned that Inner Mongolia held a special meeting to hear updates on projects such as the 4 billion cubic meters per year coal-to-gas project carried out by Inner Mongolia Mining (Group) Xing’an Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. in Keyou Middle Banner, and to discuss ways to address the difficulties and issues that arose during the progress of these projects. The project is located in the Baijina Industrial Circular Economy Park in Horqin Right Middle Banner. With an planned investment of 25 billion yuan, it is designed to produce 4 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year; its by-products include sulfur and liquid ammonia. The project will require 16.97 million tons of coal per year, and the coal supply is expected to come from the Bayan Hushuo coal field in Xilin Gol League. The product will be sold to the markets in the three northeastern provinces via the Ulanhot-Jilin gas pipeline, and liquid LNG will be transported by truck.
