Stirrers in distillation towers are usually filled with nitrogen, at a pressure that is not very high, so vibration generally does not occur.
Were there any process abnormalities at that time?
This is likely caused by wind-induced vibration; the poster should clarify under what circumstances the vibration occurred – was it when the tower was just installed? Have the pipeline connections to the platform tower been installed yet? Is it already in use? Does it vibrate when in use, but not during shutdown for maintenance? Is there strong wind when it vibrates? Or vibrate at specific wind speeds? Different situations require different solutions. Personally, it’s very likely wind-induced vibration; the usual solutions are to change the tower’s natural vibration period or add spoilers and similar devices. And in low-temperature methanol washing, why is there still a stripping tower? What is the craftsmanship from here? Normally, stripping towers aren’t very tall; so why is there vibration?
