Dear teachers, I would like to ask what effects the mixing of biodiesel with national standard diesel at a ratio of 15% has on vehicle performance. The recovery temperature is 230 degrees for 10% mix, 294 degrees for 50%, and 342 degrees for 90%. One issue is that when a small amount of water is added to the mixed fuel, the oil becomes very cloudy, as if it has been emulsified, and it takes a long time for it to return to its normal state
Adding water to diesel is sometimes referred to as a water test; it might be related to the additives present in the diesel. I heard that a water test is required whenever diesel is loaded onto a ship.
I have customers who are washing coal, and in that process the coal comes into contact with water. Additionally, I’ve heard that biodiesel may emulsify when it comes into contact with water.

Generally, diesel tends to emulsify on its own, and this is also related to the demulsifier added
Diesel becomes cloudy when water is added to it; the diesel we produce, which contains water, is cloudy as well, but it settles down after being left in the tank for a while. Also, biodiesel has a very high freezing point – around 20 degrees I believe. When it is added to diesel, particles can be seen in the oil; those are the solidified biodiesel.
As mentioned above, biodiesel has a high freezing point; when mixed with mineral diesel, it can only be used as No. 0 diesel. There is little difference when this blended diesel is used in diesel engines. However, the components of the two types of diesel differ greatly; mineral diesel is a hydrocarbon, while biodiesel is a carbohydrate. Carbohydrates are inherently hydrophilic and tend to emulsify when in contact with water; if the emulsified biodiesel is mixed with diesel fuel, its performance may be reduced
