The fertilizer plant used an anti-rust primer combined with an epoxy iron oxide topcoat in the past, but corrosion occurred severely within less than a year, forcing the replacement of the equipment! I want to change the paint; which one is better?
Chloramines and ammonium sulfide compounds cause severe corrosion to both metals and concrete. For repairs, grind to ST3 grade, apply epoxy iron oxide primer in 2 coats, and apply epoxy topcoat in 2 coats, with a film thickness of 300um. The original anti-corrosion process used by the poster had issues; the concept of rust-proof primer was too broad, and there are no products that combine epoxy iron red with a topcoat. There are problems with the coating materials chosen and the application methods used in most fertilizer plants
