The products manufactured are granulated forms of powder-based materials, produced on a continuous basis. The quality parameters of these products include heat loss on drying (water content), ash content, and free alkali content. If sampling is done manually followed by analysis, it takes as much as 4 hours to obtain the test results for one batch of products. I would like to ask whether Haiyou has any experience with instruments or equipment for the online monitoring of these quality parameters I hope everyone can offer some help! Thank you!

Personally, I think it’s not very practical to conduct online testing of such parameters by the poster, especially for solids. These parameters should be those of the final product; normally, sampling for analysis is what should be done. Moreover, it is normal for the experiment to last over 4 hours, given that a shift is 8 hours long. Online monitoring is generally used more in central control.

If defective products emerge while waiting for the test results, the quantity will be huge! So I want to create an online test or reference values. It’s made with a lot of moisture, and we found it to work well. The ash content is still under verification!
It mainly depends on what your company’s product evaluation system is like. Online detection provides valuable guidance for central control. But I think for the final product of the same batch, samples still need to be taken for a full analysis, which will serve as the final test result.
