The manager has gone home; it’s my direct supervisor! Now that the leader is no longer here, the other leaders don’t really pay much attention to us either; it feels so much easier every day! What do you say this is about! ;P
Not paying much attention is not the same as ignoring it altogether. Be careful with conversations among leaders; you might become the subject of talk.

People generally don’t like to be controlled; when they are under a leader’s supervision for a long time, their minds remain focused. Once the leader is no longer there, their tense nerves naturally relax. If you are very busy or highly self-motivated, whether a leader is around or not makes no difference to you.
Because we’re waiting for the boss to come back and lose his temper; it’s not for nothing that things are easy

Then go and see the person in charge of the foreign language department; only then will I feel happy.
It’s very likely that it makes no difference whether the leader is there or not; that would be ideal.
