Let’s talk about what kind of energy from the fluid is recovered by the hydraulic turbines that we’ve seen, and what pumps they are used to drive. There are those that use hot high-temp distillates and those that use cold high-temp distillates; what are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
For 2.8 million tons of diesel hydrotreating at a pressure of around 6.5 MPa, is it economical to install a hydraulic turbine?
I’ve only seen them where turbines are used for the conversion of vacuum residue hydrogenation products from high boiling points to low boiling points, along with feed pumps
In hydrocracking, turbines are installed for both high and low pressure streams to drive the feed oil pumps or high-pressure injection pumps; this approach is quite commonly used
Typically, for the hydrocracking of residue wax oil, as well as for the hydroprocessing of gasoline and diesel to separate light and heavy fractions, turbines are used, and most systems are equipped with feed pumps for the crude oil
I just want to know whether cold-high-score or hot-high-score is being used. What are the advantages of each of these two?
