Gentlemen, I have been having trouble understanding the transfer and conversion instructions while learning *S7-200 programming. I would like to ask everyone under what circumstances and how these two commands should be used. Thank you all; study hard regarding the MOV instructions in assembly, such as I-DI, DI-R, and so on
The MOV instruction is used for assignment, data copying, etc. In the I-DI and DI-R modes, its typical application is to convert the integer value of an analog signal into a double integer, then into a real number, so as to perform real-number calculations
Under what circumstances is assignment and copying necessary? / Why is conversion required in order to perform real-number operations?
For example, when an I integer needs to be added to a R real number, a data type conversion from I to R must be performed first.
