What is a circular economy? What are the advantages?
The so-called circular economy is an economic model that operates in accordance with the natural cycles of ecological materials. Characterized by resource conservation and recycling, it can also be referred to as a resource-recycling-based economy. In practice, the circular economy must adhere to the principles of reduction, reuse, and resource utilization. “Reduction, reuse, and resource utilization” serve as a concise summary of the circular economy. It emphasizes replacing the traditional linear growth model with a circular development model, which involves making effective use of resources and protecting the environment through patterns such as “resource–product–renewable resource” and “production–consumption–recycling.” This approach ultimately aims to achieve greater economic, social, and environmental benefits at lower development costs. Advantages: 1. Reduction of environmental pollution 2. Resource conservation 3. Enhanced competitiveness for enterprises 4. Increased employment opportunities
It’s simple: people eat food, their waste serves as fertilizer, and the soil produces more food; this creates a cycle that requires no fertilizer factories
The circular economy refers to social production and recycling activities centered on the efficient use and reuse of resources, creating a material feedback loop of “resources–products–renewable resources” in order to achieve the greatest developmental benefits at the lowest possible resource and environmental cost. The circular economy follows the 3R principles of Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling.
