During the shutdown for maintenance, severe damage occurred to the lining beneath the flue water spray nozzles (the flue temperature was above 690°C at the time of operation, so we activated the flue water spray system). We still have it today – it’s the water spray at the back of the regenerator flue gas collection duct!

Spraying water is harmful to flue expansion joints; it accelerates corrosion and can also cause scaling on the fan blades, leading to a decrease in the fan’s efficiency
