The filler is required to have a large effective area, good hydrophilicity, low air resistance, and light weight. In terms of type, there are drip type, film type, and drip-film type.

A water spraying device refers to the packing in a circulating water cooling structure. Its function is to maximize the contact surface area between the hot water entering the tower and the air, thereby prolonging the residence time of the water in the tower and enhancing the heat and moisture exchange between water and air. Therefore, it is a key part of the cooling structure.
