Article 9.1.11 of the Code for Design of Oil Depots GB50074-2014: Venting and discharge devices should not be installed on pipelines transporting corrosive liquids and liquids with toxicity levels I or II. If venting and discharge devices must be installed, measures should be in place to collect condensate in a sealed manner. Since there is no requirement for the sealed recovery of liquefied hydrocarbons, are there similar requirements in gas regulations? At present, what are the adverse effects of non-hermetic recycling?
According to GB50160, liquefied hydrocarbons should be discharged in a sealed manner into a flare or other safe venting facilities.

Like in many reservoir areas, no flare lines are installed; any emissions can only be released through intermittent exhaust stacks.

The requirements of the \"Code for Design of Oil Depots\" are as mentioned above. In short, corrosive and toxic substances must be discharged in a sealed manner; they cannot be released directly into the atmosphere. Other flammable gases should preferably be vented through a flare stack; some of them cannot even use a single flare stack and require separate venting systems. When conditions do not permit this, the vent pipes must meet certain requirements regarding height, etc.

Yes, it is stipulated in GB50160 that discharges into the atmosphere are permissible under certain conditions. In fact, small amounts of pure liquefied hydrocarbons have little toxicity and can be released directly into the atmosphere. Typically, the exhaust gases generated during pipeline processing and those from tank purging can be released directly into the atmosphere, provided that their concentration is not too high to prevent the formation of explosive mixtures.
It is usually released through flares or at high altitudes; if the amount is very small, direct release requires proper personal protection.
