Regarding the material used for stainless steel valves: 1. Does that mean that only the parts in contact with the medium are made of stainless steel, while other parts, such as the external screw nuts, bolt connections, handwheels, nameplates, etc., can be made of carbon steel?
Not sure. But the handwheel definitely does not need to be made of stainless steel
Everything that comes into contact with the medium must be made of stainless steel. Bolts are selected based on their diameter and the pressure involved; there are standard specifications for this
