The temperature measurement range for one of the bearing shells of the compressor on-site is 0-150°C, while the measurement range for this parameter in the control room’s automatic protection system is 0-200°C. If the temperature displayed in the control room is 50 degrees, what should be the actual temperature measured on-site? How should this be calculated? Thank you

If the temperature is a 4-20MA signal, you can use this formula: X/150=50/200; therefore, X=(50/200)*150=37.5
The measurement ranges of the temperature instruments on-site and those in the control room are both tailored to their respective measurement systems. If an on-site instrument measures 50°C, the instrument in the control room should also display 50°C; there is no issue with conversion, only a matter of the magnitude of measurement error.
One for me! Agreed! Temperature is directly related to mV (thermocouple)! As long as it’s within the range, the display should be the same!
