Regarding the mode masks and disturbance-free switching of the deltap system

I have two questions for the experts on the DeltaV system. First, in DeltaV, there is a mask associated with whether a certain function is operating quickly or with the PID block being in CAS, AUTO, or MAN mode; for example, CAS is equal to 64 and AUTO is equal to 32. How is this determined? Please explain! Thank you~ 2. In the strategy configuration, the BLKOUT with faster response time should be linked to the BLKIN with faster response time as well. I understand that this is done for signal tracking purposes, but if they aren’t connected, then when the back channel is switched from manual to automatic mode, will the SP value of the front channel no longer track the PV value of the back channel? Could that lead to disturbances during the switching process? Who can give a detailed explanation? Thank you~
In the BOL, it shows that CAS is 32 for constant values and 16 for AUTO. I wonder where you saw that?
