It’s a lock, only it doesn’t use traditional water storage and has also become a landscape feature.
It’s like a small lock, but the rotating mechanism is a bit intimidating; it also requires a lot of power. There seem to be large solar panels at the back.
But it saves resources – it’s a small canal and the boats aren’t large either; I think 2 boats can fit in there, and by rotating 180 degrees, 4 boats can be transferred. If it is used to form a reservoir, through level balance, not to mention the land area required, electricity is also needed to open and close the gates.
