Our company uses a process for producing methanol from coke oven gas; recently, the outlet temperature of the waste heat boiler has been rising continuously, resulting in a decline in the heat exchange efficiency. We would like an analysis of the reasons for this

What should be the designed temperature of the medium at the outlet of the waste heat boiler? What is it actually now? Has the system load increased? Is the control pressure of the waste heat boiler also on the rise?
There were no problems at the beginning of operation with this old boiler; however, after it had been running for some time, the outlet temperature started to rise. Currently, we can only reduce the pressure in the steam drum and increase the amount of waste water discharged in order to prevent the outlet temperature from rising further, but this is not a sustainable solution
Catalyst powder and the like adhere, affecting heat exchange efficiency; Or the center control valve is leaking ; After synthesizing the cut gas, it can be vented in large quantities to purge it; if that doesn’t work, it means the center control valve is leaking
When a parking opportunity arises, such as when the synthesis inlet is being vented, increasing the steam supply and using it to blow can be effective
Only the waste heat exchangers in the ammonia synthesis process have a central tube, which is used to control the temperature of the material entering the converter. As mentioned on floor 6, it’s possible that catalyst powder adheres to the inner walls of the heat exchange tubes, affecting the heat exchange efficiency and resulting in a higher outlet temperature. If it operates normally at the beginning of each drive, it means that it was completely purged during your last stop, and as the vehicle runs, the amount gradually increases again. It could also be caused by the insulation lining inside the furnace coming loose; take the opportunity when the furnace is shut down to open the second stage of the furnace and check it.
