Why are there fewer side products from the tower and are they darker in color? Is it an internal issue with the tower or due to the reflux flow?

Since it was repaired and put back into operation, the output from the side stream of the tower has been low, and the liquid in this stream appears dark in color. The situation only improves when the level of liquid in the side stream reaches a certain threshold. Additionally, the temperature at the top of the tower must be more than ten degrees lower than before. I would appreciate some advice
Would it be possible to tell what type of classification it is – whether it falls under fine classification or coarse classification? I guess a 10-degree difference at the top of the tower should fall within the range of coarse classification. Based on what’s been said, there should be changes in the separation efficiency; if the settings are adjusted, the device should be fine again very quickly
