Promote calcium loss? It must be the calcium that couldn’t be absorbed being excreted, right?~
A、-------------------------------------------------------------
Milk is rich in calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin B2; it promotes children’s growth and development and can also prevent osteoporosis. However, excessive intake can actually lead to calcium deficiency, as milk contains large amounts of high-quality protein. An appropriate amount of protein facilitates calcium absorption, but too much of it increases urinary calcium excretion, resulting in calcium loss. Based on an analysis of its nutrients, milk contains around 3% protein and fat, about 5% sugar, and approximately 0.1% calcium. Based on the recommendation in China’s Dietary Guidelines to consume 1.2 liters of water per day, if milk is consumed in place of water, an excessive amount of calcium will be intake, along with too much fat and calories. Saturated fatty acids in milk are harmful to cardiovascular health, and too much energy from them can lead to obesity. Furthermore, nutrition refers to the proper combination of various foods in terms of quantity and type to meet the body’s needs. A balanced diet should include appropriate proportions of grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs, dairy products, and other foods, along with water, to make up our daily meals. Using a large amount of milk instead of water actually disrupts the balance of this food combination.
