Hello everyone, do the terms \"thermal bypass\" and \"anti-surge circuit\" refer to the same thing? Both pipelines are equipped with valves, and their operation mode is \"fail-open\". Thank you!
Thermal bypass is generally used when the equipment is taken out of the system, or as an anti-freezing circuit when the equipment is not in use during winter； The function of the anti-surge circuit is to eliminate vibrations and resonance that occur when there is air in the pipeline or during unstable operation. So the two don’t mean the same thing! It all means operating in an emergency mode; in normal operation, are these pipelines used only under specific circumstances? This is the accident start!
Thermal bypasses are generally used to regulate the temperature after heat exchange; in the event of a wind shutdown, the valves are opened fully to prevent the temperature after heat exchange from becoming too high. The anti-surge circuit prevents the compressor inlet flow from becoming too low, which could cause surge in the centrifugal compressor.
