In water-coal slurry gasification, why is a flow-limiting orifice plate installed in the coal slurry return line? The general function of such an orifice plate is to regulate pressure and limit flow. It seems unnecessary to install one in this case; as long as the flow rate from the coal slurry pump meets the requirements, the slurry can return to the large storage tank.
